A well known father of the MMORPG Richard Garriott and responsible for the Lineage and Ultima franchises, City of Heroes, City of Villains and the hotly anticipated Tabula Rasa. TR is said to be released this October 19,2007 from Ncsoft, designed in part by some of the creators Ultima Online. The game is an RPG that blends certain shooter aspects into the combat system.
Tabula Rasa(n) Latin. Phrase often translated as "blank slate"; colloquial phrase interpreted as meaning a fresh start or a new beginning. The phrase “Tabula Rasa” has long been used by people to imply the concept of something completely new, something never before seen. Tabula Rasa is about humanity's last stand against an alien race called “Tha Bane” who are trying to destroy planets and eliminates human race. The story takes place in the near future on two or three planets, which will be in a state of constant conflict between the AFSF (Allied Free Sentient Forces) and The Bane.
Tabula Rasa takes the player on an intergalactic adventure where the individual has an opportunity to significantly impact the pace of battle on a global scale. Players will use a wide range of exotic weapons and unique alien powers to help the Allied Free Sentients (AFS) in their desperate fight against extinction.
