Clive Barker's Jericho is being designed as an action title that will up the stakes in visuals and phantasmagorical special effects. Mingling the darkest elements of Barker's horror fiction and films, Jericho deals with the mysterious reappearance of a lost city in a remote desert. When a form of evil that goes right back to the dawn of days resurfaces from there, a "Jericho Team” of skilled fighters has been assembled to put it back in its hole. Their mission: hunt down and destroy the evil lurks at the heart of the city before it destroys humanity.
The game is currently in development for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 as well as Game Tap.
The Jericho Team is a group of seven combatants that deals with paranormal threats-like Moulder and Skully. Each team member has their own lethal weapons and special psychic skills, from alchemy and exorcism to clairvoyance and telekinesis.
Characters
The Jericho Squad consists of several team members, each with their own special weapons and paranormal powers:
Capt. Devin Ross – the protagonist, Jericho Squad captain, team telepath and healer, which has been sent to Al Khali, a thriving city in the Midlle East that has been vanished behind a sandstoorm.
Father Paul Rawlings – the dual-pistol-wielding priest and exorcist, the only member of the team capable of using psychic healing abilities, he is the only character who can revive downed comrades when not under Ross's control.
Sgt. Frank Delgado – a minigun-wielding alchemist and pyromancer with fire-demon in right arm. Delgado's great strength allows him to dual-wield an arm-mounted heavy chaingun and a powerful customized magnum, giving him unsurpassed firepower.
Lt. Abigail Black – a telekinetic sniper who can control bullets in mid-flight
Sgt. Billie Church – a ninja-esque blood mage who uses her own blood to cast spells and wards . She is a “blood mage” who can cast spells by using her own blood, which comes in handy in a number of ways.
Capt. Xavier Jones – a seer who uses astral projection for reconnaissance and possibly even possession of enemies, the team leader after the death of Ross.
Cpl. Simone Cole – the Jericho Squad's reality hacker who can alter time and teleport supplies and personnel
